Privacy Policy — Pocket Convert
The short version
Pocket Convert collects no personal data at all. The app has no internet permission — it is technically incapable of sending your data anywhere. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Everything you type stays on your phone.
Data we collect
None. Pocket Convert does not collect, store (off-device), transmit or share any personal or usage data. The app's Android manifest declares no INTERNET permission, so the app cannot make network requests of any kind.
What the app does handle (on your device only)
To work as a converter and calculator, the app keeps the following only in the app's private storage on your device:
- History — the conversions and calculations you make, so you can review or repeat them. You can clear the whole history at any time in History → Clear.
- Favourites — the conversion pairs and calculators you pin.
- Settings — your choices for language, decimal precision, theme and similar preferences.
- Currency rates you type in — the currency calculator works with a rate you enter yourself. The app never downloads exchange rates; the rate you enter is stored on your device so you don't have to retype it, and the app labels it as possibly stale.
- Pro unlock state — whether Pro has been purchased, so the app can unlock the paid calculators offline.
None of this ever leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Purchases
The optional Pro unlock is sold through Google Play. Payments are processed by Google Play; we never see or store your payment details. Google's handling of purchase data is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Children
Pocket Convert is a general-purpose utility. It is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect in the app.
